3 Things: Systems, Goals & New Year’s Resolutions

Here we go, 2023! Happy New Year to you! Here are three things as we kick off the new year.

Thought: The new year is a great time to start something new. I’m all for New Year’s resolutions but most people get them wrong. It’s why, on average, only 9% of people actually meet their New Year’s resolution goal. 9%! That’s crazy small, isn’t it??!! What if we thought about it differently? For example, instead of wanting to lose that 10 lbs you’ve gained in the last year (all in January, of course : ), become a person who loves to workout and fuel your body with the right fuel (aka food). Master the game of doing something active each day. Start small and build from there – be in it for the long haul. You don’t have to eat 100% clean all the time to make progress. Think 80/20.

Call to Action: Take your New Year’s Resolution or 2023 goal(s) and simplify them. Create a tracker that you can check off the activity that gets you closer to your goal. Focus on winning each day. I personally love the Strides App for tracking workouts, reading and spiritual growth.
